Angels and Demons
By nature, I have a critical mind and a demanding heart, and I am impatient. These are both my gifts and my curses. Yet I can’t have one without the other, it seems. I can’t risk losing touch with either my angels or my demons. They are both good teachers.
Contemplation and Compassion. Richard Rohr
Richard Rohr has written a lot about first and second half of life. You know. First half we have it all figured out. Life is either this or that. Look good at all costs.
OMG. . .In So Many Ways. Demons not allowed. Only angels. Perfection flashing in neon lights.
Angel teachers accepted. Demon teachers need not apply.
And then. . .life makes its continuous trek. Nothing stays unchanged – does it? That is when the page turns. To the second half of life. Hopefully to a more mature stage. One that acknowledges both/and.
OMG. . . In So Many Ways. . . both angels and demons have residence within. Whether invited or not.
Pay attention to both. Don’t bury the demons. They might have wisdom = could be working in tandem with angels.
Second half of life allows for this kind of thinking. Allows for our humanity. Allows for acceptance of who others are. Acceptance of who we are. Acceptance of whom God created us to be from the beginning. The whole package. Only it takes US a few years to catch up with that.
OMG. . .In So Many Ways. . .angels and demons. . .welcome both. See what they may be teaching.
The older I get the less I “know”.
You seem to have antenna that has direct contact with your own dear Spirit and the Holy One. 🥰🙏
