Have you ever gone back to the place where a story started? Retraced your steps? Not as a nostalgia trip, but to understand yourself, your life, and your calling anew? The act of returning is powerful - often healing and restorative - going back makes going forward possible.
A Beautiful Year Diana Butler Bass
Sometimes. . . Sometimes remembering allows the veil to part.
Sometimes. . . Sometimes remembering reminds us of a miracle.
The miracle of being held. Guided. Of those second pair of footprints that became one
OMG. . . In So Many Ways. The veil parted two decades ago.
“Take me home, Carol. Take me home”. The request from Nana- thirty years after her death I chose to believe I heard and saw Nana. Pretty crazy.
That began a new journey- to where I am now. Nana brought ME home- to The Land of Enchantment.
Only in looking back, can I understand that calling-how it turned my life around. How living in The City of Holy Faith continues to change me.
A defining moment.
Do you ever look at your defining moments? Remembering where a story in your life began? Knowing a journey commenced - just now realizing where that journey has lead ?
Thank you Nana

You did such an outstanding job writing your Nana story. I'm so glad she brought you to Santa Fe so we could be neighbors again! Lucky me! Love, AM
I know your Nana was, and always will be, at the very center of your heart. This is a beautiful story in your life and I'm happy she led you back to the Land of Enchantment. It was meant to be.
What a beautiful story of how your return to Nana has changed your life so drastically. I'm humbled to have visited her gravesite along with you - now years ago. Very touching for me also!
