Stepping Over

Sometimes we have to “step over” our anger, our jealousy, or our feelings of rejection and move on. . .It might be good to have a look at these dark feelings and explore where they come from, but there comes a moment to step over them, leave them behind, and travel on.
Henri Nouwen
Just when I need to hear something. But would rather not. Thank you very much!
OMG. . .In So Many Ways. . .quite happy to wander around in this anger.
Oh yes, feels familiar. This judgement. Not doing it according to my playbook. For heaven’s sake. And I would rather not move on. Travel on. Maybe. Get as far away as possible. But the anger is still dragging along. In my sack of “ why didn’t you listen to me?” suggestions.
OMG. . .have you ever wandered in this territory? Of anger? Recalling past injustices? But with great satisfaction of how you wouldn’t have done it that way.
OMG. . .In So Many Ways. . .I believe that’s titled “self-righteous”
Hmmm. . . perhaps something to step over.
Yes. Eventually. But for now. . .firmly planted in the anger. And that’s okay. Can’t force the step over. Yes, okay to explore the genesis. But leave the anger behind?
OMG. . .In So Many Ways. Could take a bit of time. For the anger to morph into empathy and compassion. But eventually. Hopefully.
