Lucy. . .An Epilogue
Not prepared. OMG. . .In So Many Ways . . .not prepared.
Feeling strong the previous day. Like my heart was ripped out the next. Hurting.
What is it about a pet? But they're not a pet. They are another family member. At least in this household. Evidently in many households.
So this epilogue is not only about grief. It's about compassion. So much compassion.
Hope and love of humanity. Oh I know. Lots to be upset about in our world. But I have been infused with a caring I didn't know existed. Through our beautiful girl Lucy.
Lucy gave joy. When people saw her there came an immediate smile. And Lucy was regal and self-confident. She knew who she was.
OMG. . .Perhaps it was knowing how much she was cherished.
I believe dogs have souls. That we connect at a deep level..
So this sadness has also brought a profound gratitude. That we have been surrounded by an out pouring of love. Of understanding.
A new sense of there is more good in the world than bad.
OMG. . .In So Many Ways. . .Our Lucy. ..Thank you for being part of our lives.
Amen.

Pets are a part of our family, they brighten our hearts🫶
Heartfelt words, Lucy was so special! I will always remember that beautiful head popping up at the gate to welcome her guests. She had a wonderful presence.

Beautiful words from deep within. Hugs and🙏❤️🥰🦌
I have been very sad about Lucy ever since your last post describing her health issues. She was a beautiful and loving dog, and I remember how regal she was, in all of her size and loving presence. This heartfelt "eulogy" was so touching, and it does describe the unique kind of love our Father in Heaven shows to us through our precious pets. I send you and Bill my sympathy, and I LOVE the "street sign" and stone marker to commemorate her. She touched so many lives and mine was one of those. - Celesta
