2025. A mixed bag already.
OMG. . .can we just catch a break? Turn off the news. Might help. Progressive or Conservative? Somewhere in between? Can we just catch a break?
In the room of different opinions. Speak up. Stay silent. Stomach churns. Decide to stay silent. . .for now?
OMG. . .odd woman out. Where to fit in? Why is it important to fit in?
A friend’s reminder. “Let your light shine. Sparkle in this world.”
Hmm.
How? Where? Sparkle in a room where I feel uncomfortable? Shine on a new path? Dig deep in memory banks. You know how to shine. Sparkle. Done it before. Will do it again. Be honest in my truth. Allow others their truth.
Something to sit with.. . .even if just for today.
Maybe there’s something for you to sit with . . .just for today!

I like the words "mixed bag"....and I see that as a positive.
We are all together, whether it is our nuclear family or our community, our country or our world and that is exactly what we are: a wonderful "mixed bag"....and THAT is a very good thing.
Love your simple comment about turning off the news. I think I will follow suit. From this moment forward, this beautiful New Year of 2025 is still on the brink of new...and I am going to make it about enjoying my "mixed bag" of friends, neighbors and family.
