ADDENDUM: Not Flashy, But Here

Genesis 9:13 & 16. The Message

I'm putting my rainbow in the clouds, a sign of the covenant between me and the Earth.   When the rainbow appears in the cloud, I'll see it and remember the eternal covenant between God and everything living, every last living creature on Earth."

Rainbows are special. For some reason they speak.  Those colors - they communicate.  Declare God’s love.

OMG. . . In So Many Ways. . .at least that is how they seem to me.

Rainbows settle me.  Calm me.  They speak a language.  God language.

Somehow God verbalizes without words.  It’s like a soul-to-soul thing.  Doesn’t make much sense – perhaps to no one else.  But to me it does.

OMG. . .Rainbows.  A sign.  God is here.  And he remembers.  All the silly things I can fret about.  He says “Here I am!” 

Even in the small rainbow peeking through.  No visible arc.  God just poking his head out.

“You asked for a sign in your prayers this morning.  You said “Let me know you’re here God.  Are you listening?” 

And then while driving down the street, on the way to church,, there it was.

Not flashy.  But oh so beautiful.  Reassuring.  “Oh, you are here.  You do listen!’
