Merry F----Christmas
(With apologies to those I might have offended with the title!)
Sometimes there is no other way to express feelings.
Believe me, I’ve tried. Nothing seemed to work. This Christmas is one for the books.
The kind that I’ll talk about in years to come. Maybe I’ll be able to laugh by then. Hope so.
OMG. . .In So Many Ways. . .the picture sums it all up. Me on the floor. Barely audible . . .”It’s over. Thank Goodness”
So, let’s start with black ice. It’s a New Mexico thing Lurking. Invisible. Until one’s feet shoot out from under. On that magical black ice. And lands on the black asphalt driveway.
Result: avulsion fracture to my ankle. Fitted with a boot for 4 weeks. Then an ankle brace 4 week.
OMG. . .In So Many Ways. . .there’s more!
Our girl Lucy’s paw started swelling at the kennel where she was boarded. Ping. Text. Lucy isn’t doing so well. Ping. Please take her to the vet. Until we can get home.
The Broadmoor. Our happy place. Christmas tradition. Leave two nights early. Lucy is our girl. Though sad, no hesitation. As suitcases are packed
Tests done. No definitive answers yet.. wait for lab work results.
OMG. . .See what I mean? A Christmas to remember.
But then our neighbors called. “Come over for dinner” “ Yes!”
Kindness saved the day.
As we left Christmas night with our friends, my husband said: “You turned our Merry F------Christmas into a Merry Christmas.” Tears in his eyes.
Then all eyes filled with tears.
I guess Jesus showed up after all.
OMG. . .In So Many Ways.
