Christmas Decorations. . . Take down or Leave up?

It’s December 27th.  We got home from a beautiful four day Christmas holiday in Colorado.

“The girls” loaded up  in our 2009 Toyota RAV, adorned with a wreath on the front and headed to The Broadmoor!

OMG. . .In So Many Ways.  I mean what can I say? I think we need a bigger vehicle!

The beginning of a joyous time.  “The girls” bring the joy.  We are never without new friends.  “Can I pet your dog?”  “We used to have a Great Dane”  “Oh they are so beautiful”

OMG. . In So Many Ways.  Nope.   Never without new friends.

Then comes Christmas Day.  Brunch with our family.  Exchange gifts.  Food overload. More joy.

OMG. . .In So Many Ways.  My “little ones” are not so little anymore.

So I sit here reliving the memories.  Loving my decorations, candles, chili pepper lights on the tree.  But they have been up since the middle of November.  Probably time to take them down.

I get a text from Amy (daughter-in-law Amy).  She’s enjoying her morning coffee from a mug we gave her.  Hmmm.  Maybe I should leave my decorations up another day or two.  I mean what’s the rush?

Then I glance out the window and witness the most glorious sunrise.

Okay, God.  I hear you.   Savor the moment.  Don’t be in such a hurry to move on.

The Decorations can stay up.  Oh and thank you God, for this morning!

OMG. . In So Many Ways.
